The First Ever 2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo by Erik Burton

Unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, this new iteration of the second generation Porsche Panamera offers the same, if not more provocative styling as its sibling, but with added utility and seating for five. Love it or hate it, this new offering unapologetically evokes passionate responses the moment you lay eyes on it.

There are 4 powertrain options available. A 330hp turbocharged V6 gets you in the door for around $96k. From there, you have a choice of an E-Hybrid turbo V6, a Twin Turbo V8, and their most powerful offering, the 680hp Panamera Turbo S Sport Turismo E-Hybrid, starting around $160k. Get crazy and check a few boxes on the options list and add an extra cupholder or usb port, and you can easily approach $200k for what is spiritually a four door, five seat, 911...WAGON!

However, just like the 911, you DO NOT need it! You can make every excuse for its green(ish) plug-in hybrid system, enough space in the back for a family roadtrip, the available driver assistance package, or the amazing performance of the top tier V8 hybrid. But, at the end of the day, numbers aside, you dont need it. You WANT it! And you want it because at the very sight of it you get emotional. Currently, only a few vehicles in production today can give you butterflies, make your heart rate speed up, and fingers tingle as you walk up to it in the Whole Foods parking lot. The 2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo gives you that feeling. And THAT is what makes this car special.

Finally! An ALL NEW Ford Expedition! by Erik Burton

Ford has not had a new Expedition since the 90's. Technically the second generation which came out as a 2003 model, lasted pretty much all the way until now. The 3rd generation underwent a heavy refresh, with slightly better styling, but greatly improved performance and efficiency with the introduction of the ecoboost v6 into the lineup. Honestly, the 3rd gen Expedition, which was introduced as a 2015 model, is what it should have been back in 2011! But now, it is here. Recently unveiled at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show, the all new Ford Expedition promises to be a greater contender in the Full Sized SUV space dominated by the likes of the Chevrolet Tahoe/GMC Yukon and Toyota Sequoia.  With attractive new crossover-esque styling, it will have a revised version of their 3.5 liter ecoboost V6 as its main engine option. Official power and torque numbers have not yet been released. However, the biggest change to this large family ute is in its construction. Utilizing lightweight materials as first seen in the latest F-Series pickup trucks. They have managed to shave a significant amount of weight from the vehicle, all while increasing interior passenger space and cargo space. It is said to have the best 3rd row in the business. Expect a full suite of driver assistance technology and the latest in mobile technology with apple car play and android auto integration. Sales will start fall of 2017 as a 2018 model.
